What is PunchAlert?

PunchAlert is an automated SMS reminder system used by employers to help their employees remember to check in and out of state-mandated workforce management applications on time. It is developed and operated by 605 Media LLC on behalf of participating employer organizations.

PunchAlert does not replace the state-mandated check-in system — it is a reminder tool only. Employees are still responsible for completing their required check-ins using whatever application their employer or state program requires.

How Employees Are Enrolled

Employees are enrolled in PunchAlert by their employer administrator — not by texting a keyword or visiting a website. The enrollment process works as follows:

1

Employer uploads roster

The employer administrator uploads employee names, mobile phone numbers, and work schedules through the secure PunchAlert web portal.

2

Employer notifies employees

The employer informs employees that they will receive automated SMS reminders before their required check-in and check-out times.

3

Reminders begin automatically

PunchAlert begins sending reminders on the schedule configured by the employer. No action is required from the employee to start receiving messages.

4

Employee can opt out at any time

Employees may reply STOP at any time to permanently stop receiving messages. See the opt-out section below.

Note for employees: If you are receiving PunchAlert messages and do not know who enrolled you, please contact your direct supervisor or HR department. Your employer administrator manages all enrollments.

What Messages You Will Receive

PunchAlert sends up to four SMS messages per scheduled workday — two reminders before your shift starts and two before your shift ends. Messages are sent only on days you are scheduled to work.
