Twilio is the SMS delivery platform PunchAlert uses to send text messages. On the "Hosted / Own Twilio" plan, you create a free Twilio account, add a phone number, and enter your credentials into PunchAlert. You pay Twilio directly for each message sent — typically $0.011–$0.013 per SMS segment. This gives you full control over your messaging costs and sender number.
A2P 10DLC (Application-to-Person 10-Digit Long Code) is a carrier-mandated registration for businesses sending SMS via local phone numbers. It improves deliverability and reduces filtering. On the Fully Managed plan, 605 Media LLC handles this registration for you. On the Own Twilio plan, we provide guidance to help you complete registration through your Twilio account.
If you exceed your included monthly SMS allotment, additional messages are billed at $0.02 per message. You'll receive a notification when you're approaching your limit. There is no hard cutoff — reminders will continue to send so your employees stay on schedule.
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. If you upgrade mid-cycle, the difference is prorated.
